A Word From Our Lead Pastor

Welcome to Progressive Worship Altar.

My name is Walby Philogene, and it’s truly an honor to have you here. Progressive Worship Altar is not just a ministry—it’s a living, breathing movement committed to Christ, and to the progress of His people.

Interestingly enough, my first name, "Walby," means "defensive wall." For much of my life, I wrestled with that symbolism—feeling walled in, blocked, and at times, disconnected from the promises I knew God had spoken over me. But what I once saw as a barrier, God revealed was actually protection—a preparation for something greater.

And that’s the heartbeat behind this ministry: to be a safe place for those who feel stuck, overlooked, or weighed down. To tear down walls of limitation—and build altars of hope, healing, and breakthrough. Here, we believe that your progress is not just possible; it’s promised when you align your life with Christ.

So whether you’re searching, rebuilding, or thriving—you belong here. Let’s move forward together, one step at a time, with Jesus leading the way.

Welcome home.

This is not just a moment—it’s a movement. A clarion call to rise, to rebuild, and to reclaim everything Heaven has destined for us.
Walls are falling. Doors are opening. The Kingdom is advancing.
And if you’re reading this, know this: you have been called for such a time as this.

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the honor of serving in ministry—a journey that began from a place I never could have expected: a hospital bed. In 2015, after undergoing surgery on my heart, I said yes to the call of God on my life. It wasn’t a glamorous beginning, but it was a sacred one—a surrender birthed in weakness that God turned into strength.

Years later, in April 2023, another pivotal moment arrived. God called me out of my place of comfort to step into Pastoral ministry in Atlanta, Georgia. Though my time there wasn’t long by human standards, it was rich with divine purpose. Yes, I could tell you about the things God allowed me to accomplish—the services, the community outreach, the milestones. But the greatest work wasn’t what happened around me; it was what happened within me.

It was there, in a city I was growing to love, among a people I cherished, that I heard God’s voice again—clear, undeniable:
"It’s time to transition. It’s time to SHiFT."

And if I’m honest, if I had it my way, I would’ve stayed. My life was stable. Comfortable. Full. I was traveling, pastoring, thriving. But I quickly learned a hard and holy truth: when you are truly called by God, He will not lead you by comfort. He leads you by calling.
He doesn't move you based on what feels good—He moves you based on what’s needed.
Because when God places a mandate on your life, it’s not just about your fulfillment—it’s about the answers He’s placed inside of you for a world in desperate need.

That revelation is the heartbeat behind Progressive Worship Altar:
A ministry born out of surrender.
A movement birthed out of obedience.
A place where the walls fall, the altars rise, and progress becomes inevitable through Christ.

Welcome. You are not here by accident.
You are part of the SHiFT.

In Exodus chapter 2, the Word of God reveals a divine pattern: the people of Israel, bound in oppression, cried out from the depths of their suffering. And when their groans reached Heaven, God didn't merely comfort them—He called a deliverer.
Because when bondage grips a generation, God doesn’t just speak to the broken—He anoints someone to break the chains.

I believe we are standing in that same divine moment right now.
All around us, people are crying out—tired of being stuck. Stuck financially. Stuck ministerially. Stuck relationally. Stuck emotionally. Stuck in cycles that seem unbreakable. But I declare to you today: Heaven has heard the cries—and Heaven has released an answer.

By the power of the Holy Ghost, I have been commissioned to serve as a spiritual midwife—to PUSH God’s people out of stagnation and into their divine progress.
To war for your destiny.
To call forth the promises locked inside of you.
To ignite the movement you were born to make.

Progressive Worship Altar was birthed for this very hour:

To tear down the walls of delay.
To break the chains of stagnation.
To PUSH you forward into the future Heaven already wrote with your name on it.

If you feel stuck, know this: your cries have not gone unheard.
Your time is not over.
Your destiny is still alive.
And your SHiFT begins now.

Welcome to Progressive Worship Altar—where progress isn't just a catchy word; it’s a prophetic decree.
